- Lives in the lower part of forests, not too high up, usually below 1300 meters.

- Each section of the stem is covered by a loose covering.
- The leaves are long and kind of oval, and they fall off too.
- When it’s warm or cool, it grows well.
Caring Tips:
- It needs a dry time starting around October. This dry time lasts until new leaves start growing in the early spring.
- In the spring, it shows off pretty flowers, about 8 to 10 of them. These flowers grow from the stick’s sections and are close to each other.
- The flowers smell a bit like raspberries.
- To help this orchid grow nicely, it’s best to put it on a piece of tree fern or cork.
- When new parts start growing in late spring, it’s time to give it water and food. This helps it grow up to 3 feet long by October.
- And then, it’s back to drying it out again!
