Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis infomation

The Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis is my favorite among the Bulbophyllum species found in Papua New Guinea. It is a lowland species and has the largest phalaenopsis among the Bulbophyllum, with leaves that can grow up to 3 feet long. This species requires high humidity and prefers medium to low light. Its flowers are red and hairy.

Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis Care

Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis is a type of orchid that likes to grow on other plants. In the wild, it’s often seen hanging out on trees in the rainforest. It’s not too tough to take care of this orchid at home—you can put it in a pot or attach it to a piece of bark. Just make sure it gets plenty of bright, indirect light and stays warm and humid. Water it regularly, but don’t let its roots swim in water. Giving it a weak orchid fertilizer once a month while it’s growing should help it thrive.
