This stunning orchid species hails from the warm lowland forests of Southeast Asia, specifically Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia, thriving at elevations up to 1000 meters.

Leaves: Its leaves are leathery and strap-like, arranged in a unique distichous pattern (two ranks on opposite sides of the stem). Each leaf can grow up to 20 centimeters (8 inches) long and 2 centimeters (0.8 inches) wide.

Flowers: The orchid produces long, pendant inflorescences up to 50 centimeters (20 inches) in length, adorned with fragrant, waxy flowers. These flowers are typically yellow or orange yellow, accented with red or brown markings, and measure about 3 centimeters (1.2 inches) in diameter.
